COLUMBUS, Ohio — Homeless youth are relying on a much-needed shelter during frigid cold in central Ohio.
Founded in 2006, Star House operates a shelter for youth 14-24. Temperatures are forecasted to drop into the teens Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
CEO Ann Bischoff said younger people are reaching out for help, "We're seeing twice as many youth per day now as we did last year and if we're going to have a longer winter, we're going to need even more blankets and coats, gloves, and socks."
