Amazon Wish Lists
Our donation priorities vary depending on the needs of our drop-in center guests and recently housed youth. Please review our Amazon Wish lists below for the most up-to-date, helpful items.
Consider utilizing AmazonSmile!
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Star House every time you shop, at no cost to you. A percentage of every purchase made is donated to us automatically! You just need to select us as your AmazonSmile charity partner.
Provide Meals
Want to give a fresh meal for our youth to enjoy?
These meals are only to be dropped off, not served, by the donor unless they have been approved for our direct-engagement volunteering. Donated meals need to feed at least 65 people and should be ready to serve upon arrival.
Please email Wendell to coordinate your meal donation and scheduled a time. After meeting the above requirements, when you arrive with your donation, walk through the main entrance door to let the receptionist know that you’ve arrived with a meal donation.
ALSO: Learn how you can visit Star House to help serve the meal!
Send Gift Cards
Gift cards are given to youth by on-site therapists and frontline staff based on qualifying circumstances and verifications (food security, work, housing, medical, personal emergency, etc.). One way you can make an impact is by sending a gift card today!

-
Restaurants: $5-$10 Wendy’s, KFC, Church’s Chicken, Burger King, McDonald’s or Subway gift cards
-

It may be a month filled with basketball madness, but for Star House, March is filled with kindness. Please join us by participating in our March Kindness Gift Card Drive. Encourage your family, friends and other members of the community to donate gift cards for our youth. Their favorite cards include Kroger, Burger King, McDonald's and Subway. Gift cards in $10-$15 increments are preferred. Youth receive gift cards from on-site therapists and our frontline team members based on qualifying circumstances and verifications related to food security, housing, medical care, etc.

Host an Event
People often spend their own time and money to organize a fundraiser to benefit Star House--and we are so thankful! These fundraisers include everything from bingo nights, bake sales and car washes, to jean days at work, live music shows and more.
If you are interested in hosting your own third-party event to benefit Star House, please email Doug. We can offer guidance to help make your event a success.
Start a Donation Drive
Engaging your company, club, place of worship, community group, or school can help in big ways. Turn your next gathering into a cause! Setup a theme or contest to help stimulate giving—such as a "fill the bus" challenge, a walk-a-thon, a "Souper Bowl" or whatever you think of! Email Doug for ideas or if you have questions.
It’s recommended that you pick 2-3 types of items you want your group to give. This helps maximize your giving's impact by concentrating on enough of an item to serve everyone in need of that item (and possibly with extra that will be available for future requests!)
