Dear Friends of Star House,
This Thanksgiving, we would like to offer a heartfelt THANK YOU for being part of Star House's mission to lift young people in Central Ohio out of homelessness! So far this year, your support has helped connect 853 young people and their small children to safe respite, housing, employment, health and true community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are especially grateful for your generous support this holiday season and we are excited by what we can accomplish together in 2021!
Our staff prepared a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for Star House guests at our drop-in center this week. Many thanks to Lizz Moody and Nikky Robinson for leading the effort to ensure Star House guests could safely come together to enjoy a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal in the midst of this unprecedented time. Our guests and staff will enjoy a Thanksgiving Day meal, catered by City Barbeque.
On December 1, 2020, our community will come together for Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that aims to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year, in honor of Giving Tuesday, we ask that you consider donating to Star House and joining us as we work to empower Central Ohio youth to exit homelessness for good. Monetary Donations
Now more than ever, Star House would benefit greatly from discretionary general operating funding to support our day-to-day services for youth. Please consider making a monetary donation. Item Donations
We currently accept new items through the mail (please note that we cannot accept in-person drop-off donations until further notice). Star House's most urgent needs are winter items, including:
Winter hats
Large insulated gloves
Hand warmers
Large winter coats
Wool socks
