We are so grateful for the support we receive from our generous community via third-party fundraisers, donation drives and more. Many thanks to Kendra Scott for hosting their Kendra Gives Back to Star House event, Land-Grant Brewing Company for their Let's Give Event, and The Laughing Ogre Comic Shop for their events this month. Please join us for the following upcoming events:
On April 8, Robyn DaCultyre is hosting Melanated, which showcases POC entertainers, at District West and attendees are encouraged to donate black hair care products for Star House.
Mark your calendars for April 28! All Central Ohio Jeni's locations will donate 25% of their sales for an Ice Cream Social Day Benefitting Star House.
Parsons North Brewing Company is hosting a Community Night benefitting Star House on May 5. 10% of all sales will be donated to Star House.
Throughout March, we encouraged folks to bring their family, friends or co- workers together to form four teams: Team Giant Eagle, Team Kroger, Team Walmart and Team Wendy’s. Teams competed to see who could score the most gift cards from our guests' four favorite locations. Each group determined what the winning team received.
You can still donate monetarily for the gift cards here. You can send us the gift cards you have collected to Star House, ATTN: Kat Earles, 1220 Corrugated Way, Columbus, OH 43201. Thank you so much for participating. Our guests will be the ultimate winners!
Partnership Spotlight
We'd like to thank Columbus Public Health Youth Wellness for providing on-site physical health care for our drop-in center guests up to two times per week. We are so thankful for this partnership!
Volunteer Spotlight
Thank you to the City of Columbus Fire Cadets, who have volunteered every Tuesday at our drop-In center and Carol Stewart Village since January. Thank you for helping our team with the more demanding tasks that we often don't have assistance with—we appreciate you!
Donor Shoutout and Acknowledgement
We'd like to thank the Ohio State Food Recovery Network for their weekly food donations to Star House! Food Recovery Network recovers surplus food on campus that would otherwise be wasted and donates it to hunger-fighting partner agencies like Star House.

We accept new and gently used items that can be either mailed or dropped off at our drop-in center (1220 Corrugated Way, Columbus OH 43201) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Star House's most urgent needs include:
Natural hair care products, such as hair wraps, oil, moisturizer and gel (featured on our wishlist here)
Ponchos
Tents
Backpacks
Sunscreen
Belts
Headphones
