Columbus campaign aims to spread awareness of homeless youth problem

COLUMBUS. Ohio — People in the Short North area may have seen some cards around North Market on Wednesday — maybe there was even one on your car.

Volunteers put them out to draw attention to what they call an invisible problem — thousands of young people experiencing homelessness.


"I think one of the biggest obstacles for us solving the issue of youth homelessness is that it's invisible to so many people," said Sonya Thesing, who works with Huckleberry House. "We're not aware on a daily basis of the homeless youth that we're passing on the street... maybe we'll just open some eyes."
