About the CEO

Before joining the Star House team in April 2016, Ann founded mentor programs for youth and alumni of foster care through Starfish Alliance; she was senior director and Joyce Foundation fellow with a nonpartisan child policy think tank, KidsOhio; served as consultant for Ohio’s successful effort to extend supports for foster youth through age 21; and she staffed the offices of three senators, as a fellow of the Legislative Service Commission. She currently serves on the National Institute of Health (NIH) HEAL Initiative Community Stakeholder Board; the Ohio Attorney General's Human Trafficking Commission; the Columbus Metropolitan Club Program Committee; the Franklin County Opiate Recovery and Community Engagement Committee; the local Committee to End Youth Homelessness and various other committees serving vulnerable youth. She earned a Masters from The Ohio State University. Ann is married with three daughters.
